Isla Mujeres, MX to Cancun to Chichen Itza

One of the Mayan open air temples

The main feature where the King would appear in the doorway and the beheading
would begin in earnest, hail to the chief

Tranquil now as in the olden days when heads weren't needed

Native craft for sale fresh from the factory

Another open air temple
Serpents yet again

Supposedly an entrance for only high priests

A fallen down hall, all the timbers have rotted away leaving what you see

The same hall without the roof structure that has rotted away

More Cuba, 2011 December

Friends made in Cuba, white shirt Ray who is a great guy who loves his country,
blue shirt Captain Bob still sailing at 78, 2 Cuban ladies who are friends of Ray
and David my crew member who helped me sail to Isla Mujeres, MX

The home of the artist who did what you see for fun, art for art's sake. There
are several blocks of the neighbor hood done up with broken tile pieces said to
have been scrounged from fallen down buildings in Havana
